Our Mission
At Troopers Community Equestrian Centre, we are
dedicated to:

Providing therapeutic support through equine-assisted
activities for individuals with anxiety, trauma, and
complex needs. -
Supporting military families, particularly children,
through the challenges of pre- and post-deployment. -
Offering a safe haven and healing opportunities for
domestic violence survivors. -
Rescuing and rehabilitating horses, creating a
symbiotic relationship of healing between animals and
humans. -
Providing educational opportunities for children with
disrupted schooling. -
Fostering a strong, supportive community that bridges
military and civilian life.

Our Story
Troopers Community Equestrian Centre grew from the heart of Alexander First Primary School, a local institution specializing in education for military children and those with special needs. What began as an innovative program to support students dealing with abuse and complex needs has blossomed into a community-wide initiative for healing and growth.
Founded by educators who witnessed first hand the transformative power of human-animal connections, Troopers was born from a desire to extend these benefits beyond the school gates. Our journey started with a few
rescue horses and a vision to create a cycle of rescue, betterment, and healing that would touch not just our students, but our entire community.
